Three Nights of Pure Magic at Wallaringa Farm

Following a two-week reunion with loved ones in Newcastle, our visit culminated in a memorable three-night stay at Wallaringa Farm, marking an extra special stay shared with my family.

The quick hour’s drive to the farm meandered through the Hunter Valley’s captivating countryside, with rolling hills transitioning to a gravel road, leading to a modern homestead nestled in a lush valley near Dungog, NSW.

Stepping inside, we were greeted by its warm heart: a spacious living area and kitchen. Jordana, our thoughtful host, had organised a welcoming grazing platter and a bottle of local wine on the grand dining table.

The central fireplace became the focal point for evenings filled with laughter and long chats, while the perfectly equipped kitchen invited homecooked meals without the need to leave. Meanwhile, the bedrooms draped in luxurious linens and a bath overlooking the fields offered a restful night’s sleep and serene mornings.

Our time unfolded on the expansive deck, with its breathtaking views of the countryside and sightings of local horses. Breakfasts in the soft morning mist and dinners under a canopy of stars created blissful, core memories. Other highlights include roasting marshmallows at the fire pit and playing poker set to the soundtrack of a record player.

As our departure neared, it became evident that our stay, though three nights long, barely scratched the surface of Wallaringa Farm’s peaceful embrace. This secluded haven, ideal for marking significant occasions, served as a reminder of the beauty found in pausing to savour life’s moments with your nearest and dearest.
