Island hopping in Greece: Perfect days spent in Paros

Regardless of being so far into our trip, Paros is so darn pretty it sparked those first day-like moments of glee. And then there's the added surprise that it's one of the least expensive places we've been.

During our 3-night visit, we stayed at an Airbnb called The Arch Apartment, a historic home of Cycladic architecture located in the heart of the old town, Parikia. Our days here were spent exploring the island's azure-coloured coves by day and strolling around whitewashed villages by the evening, before ending the night in some quiet alleyway for dinner, often surrounded by climbing bougainvillea.

Hands down, one of the highlights for us was spending an entire day at the Arodo Beach Club, where we rented out beach chairs, so close to the water that we could feel the calm waves splashing softly on our feet. Then, when we needed a little break from the sun, we had lunch at the Arodo Restaurant, which felt a lot like dining on a boat in the middle of the sea. It's also important to note that I ordered the most delicious pasta with clams here.

While our short visit felt more than enough to get a sample taste of the island, which included visits to Lefkes, Prodromos, and Naousa, it certainly has that 'come back and stay for a few weeks and be perfectly happy' vibe, which we may just have to do one day.
