Headed for the French Riviera, we drove from Provence to Saint Tropez on Friday, and it all felt like day one of our travels again, from the moment we caught our first glimpse of the sea.

We checked into La Figuière, a Mediterranean villa estate surrounded by olive, fig, and lemon trees, with gardens just as full as Monet's — the only difference now is that the beach is just minutes away.
